Yated residents wake up to a barrage of rockets and enter the safe rooms. Ravshatz (Military Ongoing Security Coordinator) Maor Habibian realizes this event is unusual and dispatches the security squad. Squad members are equipped with weapons, assigned tasks between them, and dispersed to different posts around the moshav
The contact of the alert squad reports the infiltration of terrorists into nearby settlements and outposts. They hear that the attack is broad and that the shooting is heavy. Yated residents are asked to remain in their safe rooms until further notice. In the morning, the electricity system in the area is damaged, and residents are left in safe rooms without electricity for a day or more until they are evacuated from the moshav.
A security squad unit detects a suspicious figure coming from a west direction. The force carries out a procedure for arresting a suspect and handcuffing the terrorist. The squad members try to report the incident to the army, but when their calls are not answered, they realize that the incident is more severe than they thought. The sounds of gunshots outside the moshav are getting closer, and constant reports from nearby communities reports of face-to-face fights keep coming in.

A resident reports a terrorist trying to open the door of her house, and a unit is dispatched to the house. A moment later, the forces identify another terrorist entering from a nearby street and, at the same time, receive a report of the presence of several terrorists in the yard of another house. One of the squad members arrives on the scene and ambushes the lone terrorist. Other members come and shoot at the group of terrorists. They catch four unarmed terrorists and arrest them on the spot. As they scan the area, they find evidence that terrorists entered residents' homes, ate food, and attempted to loot their homes.

Avi Habibian, a resident of Yated, comes out with his weapon and joins the defense of the moshav. Residents Tal Or and Nir Levi open a lookout post on the roof of Tal's house and report to the forces about what is happening in the moshav. At the same time, two soldiers dispatched to the area arrive at Yated after encountering the terrorists. Other residents assist with guarding efforts for the captured terrorists. The Tsahi (Local Resilience Team) team and the forces in the fieldwork collaboratively, and the residents are sent messages and instructions on the situation in the area.
The terrorists are transported to the courtyard of the home of Iyad and Nasreen Yousef, Druze Arabic-speaking Yated residents. Nasreen decides to leave the safe room where her children are, investigates the terrorists trapped in her yard, and tries to deprive them of information. She answers the phone that rings for one of the terrorists. On the line was the terrorists commander, and she was trying to trick and extract information.

After a day of harsh battles around the moshav, the residents seek to recruit more troops ahead of the expected fighting once it becomes dark. After many requests for assistance, they received reinforcements of about ten fighters from the Officer's Training School (Bahad 1) and a team of reserve soldiers.
The forces in the field receive a report of a second wave of terrorists on their way to the settlements. The forces in the moshav become more alert and stand ready in their positions
A reserve soldier recognizes figures crossing the fence toward one of the farms. The alert squad is dispatched, and after scanning the area, they identify the entry hole from the fence. A group of Karakal soldiers commanded by Sgt Shira Stari, and with other teams of fighters, searches for the terrorists in Yated territory but cannot locate them
Brigadier General Farran, Col. Shemer Raviv, joined forces in the Moshav to find the terrorists who had entered through the breach. He orders a combat helicopter to fire a warning shot to several points around the moshav. The troops continue their search, but after about an hour, they leave Yated to fight further detachments
One of the fighters reports they identified suspects behind one of the houses. The security squad dispatches to the spot along with a Karakal sgt. and they intercept a number of terrorists

A first convoy of residents evacuates from the moshav with the assistance of IDF forces. After about an hour, another convoy evacuates the remaining residents

At all hours of the day and night, gunshots are heard in nearby communities. Explosive drones have been sent to settlements, and alerts are being received of further incursions from Gaza. Security squad members stay and protect the moshav.
Yated residents continue to guard the ten terrorists captured in the moshav until the military arrived to take them to a detention facility
