Dvir Karp, his partner Stav Kimchi and his two children, Daria and Lavie, wake up from the alarms and enter the safe room. Dvir's ex-wife, Reut, who is in Yehud for the weekend, checks with Dvir how they are doing. He replies that everyone is secure in the safe room

Dvir continues to text Reut, telling her there is heavy gunfire inside the kibbutz. She manages to inform him that their eldest daughter Lia, who was sleeping at her friend's home in Moshav Ein HaBesor, is somewhere safe

Terrorists enter Dvir's house. Dvir comes out of the safe room with an axe to fight them but is shot at the doorway. Stav tries to protect the children with a knife, and the terrorists shoot and kill her, too. During this time, Daria hides under the blanket. In the opposite bed stays Lavie, who keeps quiet

One of the terrorists enters the safe room, he lifts the blanket over Daria, signals her with his finger to be quiet and covers her back. As he walks out of the room, he takes Stav's lipstick and writes on the wall in Arabic: “Al Qassam don't kill children”

Daria takes her dad's mobile phone and uses it to write a message to her mom: 'Mom, this is Daria, Dad was murdered'

Reut calls Daria and tries to figure out what exactly is going on. At the same time, she opens a situation room at her friend's house in Yehud and sends messages on the community's WhatsApp group, in which she pleads for help: “Daria and Lavie are alone, Dvir was murdered. Hurry to Dvir's house”

Reut talks to Daria, assuring her that she will stay on the line with her until they arrive to rescue them. She decides to record the conversation because she realizes that this might be the last time she talks to her daughter. When she asks Daria where Dad is, Daria replies that he is 'lying on the floor and not moving'

Lavie falls asleep and Daria continues to talk to her mother, who tries to calm her down. When Reut tells her “everything is fine”, Daria replies “not everything is fine”. She asks her again and again when the army will arrive.

During the conversation, Daria repeatedly says that she hears terrorists in the house, and each such time her mother tells her to be quiet and breathe. Even in moments of silence, she is always on the line with her, and at the same time cries out for rescue by any means at her disposal

Daria has been lying under a blanket for more than two hours. She complains that she is hot and that she is sweaty all over her body. There is some water in the safe room and her mother tells her to come out of the blanket to drink, but Daria won't because she is afraid to see the bodies

After hours of requests for rescue, Golan Septon, a friend of the family, leaves his wife and children in the safe room and comes to rescue Daria and Lavie. He takes his gun, shoots in the air to see that it functions, and manages to reach Dvir's house. At first, he wants to take the children to his home, but then he realizes that it is too dangerous. He stayed with them in the safe room for nine and a half hours

After about half a day in the safe room, next to the bodies of their father and his girlfriend, Golan takes advantage of the relative silence and pulls Lavie and Daria out of the window so that they would not pass by the bodies at the entrance to the safe room. He takes them to his home, where they stay until they are rescued the next day
