Dikla and Noam receive messages on the Kibbutz's WhatsApp groups about infiltrating terrorists. Noam puts the three children under the bed and asks them to keep quiet. At the same time, Dikla chats on the phone with Odin, her daughter, who is in another apartment in the Kibbutz, and asks her to hide

Noam tries to reassure Maayan, Daphne and Ella's mother, who is in the center of the country, and writes to her: “We are in the safe room, Ella is not stressed”. Meanwhile, in the Kibbutz's WhatsApp group, residents are asked to remain locked in the safe rooms.

The terrorists enter the home of the Elyakim Arava family and shoot. They hit Noam through the door of the safe room and wound him in the leg. They then break down the door and get the two adults and three children out of the safe room

The terrorists take pictures of the family members in their home, with Noam bleeding from his leg, and broadcast everything from Dikla's Facebook page. The five members of the family sit with a gun pointed at them and the terrorists shouting at them, turning their house upside down and questioning them about daughter Odin and son Stav who are not at home. Family and friends are watching the incident in real time and tagg Israeli police and security officials in an attempt to rescue them. This is one of the first videos capturing that day' horrors to be broadcast in the Israeli media

At gunpoint, Tomer is led by the terrorists as bait to persuade neighbors to get out of the safe rooms. The terrorists, who continue to document everything live on Facebook, enter homes and shoot families. Tomer tries to rescue people and tells the terrorists that some of the houses are empty

The live broadcast stopped after about half an hour. According to an IDF investigation that was published approximately one year and three months after the incident, after the terrorists finished passing through the row of houses with Tomer, he apparently managed to escape and hide. It is highly probable that the IDF forces identified him as a suspect and shot him dead

The terrorists take control of the family's vehicle and take Dikla, the wounded Noam and his daughters Daphne and Ella in Gaza's direction, as they sit next to each other. While traveling, the vehicle absorbs many bullets, one of which hits Dikla and kills her. According to an IDF investigation, the bullets were apparently from IDF fire. At this point, the terrorists only remove Daphne and Ella from the car, who continue in another vehicle to Gaza, before they can say goodbye to their father. Noam and Dikla were left in the car - he is injured and she is lifeless

Wounded Noam is led alone towards the strip, limping and surrounded by two terrorists who drag him along with them. This is the last record of him alive, his body will be found near the fence about ten days later
