It was supposed to be a festive day. Clara Marman and partner Luis Har were hosting her brother, Fernando, Gabriela Leimberg and her 17-year-old daughter Mia. The whole family was kidnapped to Gaza. All members of the family returned home safely, part thanks to a deal and part – a military operation in the dead of night.

As the Red Color alarm goes off, the five family members enter the safe room. Clara would tell in retrospect that she was “used to Red Color alerts, used to the Iron Dome, and felt protected”.
In the kibbutz WhatsApp group, messages begin to be received about the infiltration of terrorists into the kibbutz. Family members watch the unfolding events on the news and begin to understand the danger. They enter the safe room and place objects next to the door, in an attempt to prevent the terrorists from entering.

Family members hear screaming, breaking windows and gunshots throughout the house. They sit in the safe room, hugging each other in a corner as the terrorists enter. Two shots miss Fernando who feels the gunpowder of the shot. Clara: “I started saying, calm down, let's do what they say and it will be fine”.
Family members try to contact the five without success. In a previous conversation, Luis updates on the terrorists breaking into the house: “They're inside. There are noises in the house, let's hope for the best, kisses”.
To the sound of the terrorist screams, the family is led out of the house. Mia hides Bella, her shiatsu dog, under her pajamas. Between the paths of the kibbutz, they see looters going from house to house destroying the kibbutz.

The terrorists cut the kibbutz fence and transfer Clara, Fernando and Luis through it. The terrorists debate whether to take Mia due to her age, but finally decide to kidnap her, as well. A van picks up Gabriela and Mia and leaves through the kibbutz gate. After a short drive, the van joins the rest of the terrorists and collects the rest of the family. The kibbutz's security camera records the five family members on the van driving towards Gaza.
After driving through the Gaza Strip, the van stops and the terrorists lead the five into a tunnel shaft. The family members walk down the branching tunnel paths for about two and a half hours. When they reach the ladder that leads to the exit from the tunnel, the terrorists notice that Mia is holding a dog and not a doll, as they believed. At the end of a brief argument between them, they decide to leave Bella in the Mia's hands.
Upon exiting the tunnel, the terrorists drive the five to a civilian house in Rafah. The five will stay there until they are released.
Five hours later, security forces arrive at Clara's house and see signs of gunfire, destruction, and looting. The family members are declared missing that same day.
After being declared kidnapped, their relatives embark on a cross-border fight to release them.
