Kibbutz Security Coordinator Shachar Aviani fought terrorists while his wife Sharon was in the hospital with their daughters, Shai-Li (20) and Gili (17). Liki (29) soon joined them, and they were rescued 36 hours later. Grandmother Batya hid in the MDA, saved from a direct rocket hit. Shachar lost his life fighting alongside the emergency squad.

Mother Sharon, her husband, kibbutz Ravshatz (Military Ongoing Security Coordinator) Shachar, and their two daughters, Shai-li and Gili, wake up to a barrage of rockets and run to the saferoom. Their son Yoni is on vacation in Mexico, and their daughter Liki is staying at her apartment nearby. Liki calls her father Shachar as the rocket barrage begins: “What, are you still here in the kibbutz? I forgot you were here,” Shachar tells her with a laugh. Liki answers him: “Dad, what's going on? This is the worst attack ever.” Shachar confirms things, they exchange a few more words and hang up. This was Liki's last conversation with her father.
Shai-Li receives a message from a kibbutz member who sees paragliders landing on the kibbutz and asks her to call her father, the kibbutz's Ravshatz. At the same time, Roy Idan, Ynet's news photographer, calls Shachar and reports to him that he detects terrorists landing in the kibbutz with motorized parachutes. Minutes later, Shai-Li receives a message from her friend that she is struggling with the door of the security room as the terrorists attack. Upon receiving the reports, Shachar dons his uniform and says goodbye to his family. He goes out to the armory, located a few meters from his home, mobilizes the members of the security squad and distributes weapons to its members.

Four members of the security squad, Aviv Baram, Nadav Amikam, Avi Hindi, and Shachar Aviani, gather at the armory and arm themselves just as the terrorists open fire on them. They are fighting dozens of terrorists who have gathered in the area
Shachar manages to kill many terrorists in intense fighting near the armory before he is shot. Security squad member Avichai Broadch arrives to help the wounded Shachar under the gunfire, and Shachar shouts to him: “I'll be fine. Save yourselves!“ the remaining members of the security squad see the numbers of terrorists and move away from the area. The three members of the security squad who fought alongside Shachar - Aviv Baram, Nadav Amikam, and Avi Hindi - are killed by the terrorists' gunfire near the armory along with Shachar Aviani

Liki hears automatic gunfire and shouts in Arabic a few meters from the window, which is left wide open for fear that terrorists will hear the closing noise. She records them and sends the recording to her friend while lying under the bed in the secure room
Under heavy gunfire outside their home, Sharon, Shai-Li and Gilly receive nonstop phone calls and messages about terrorist infiltrations into homes and wounded people who need help. Residents ask them to alert Shachar who isn't answering the phone. Shai-Li and Gilly ignore the phone, which won't stop ringing, and hide in their secure room under the bed.
In the house of Sharon's mother, Nana Batya, a rocket explodes while she is barricaded in the safe room. The rocket collapses the ceiling and knocks down a wardrobe that blocked the passage to the safe room, which turns out to be the thing that saved her life. Terrorists infiltrated the house shortly afterward posing as soldiers and called her in Hebrew, but she did not heed their calls. Batia was only extracted the next morning at 11:30, about 30 hours later.

As fierce fighting continues outside her home, Liki's phone runs out of power and she can not communicate with anyone. About two and a half hours later, as the sounds of gunfire subside, she walks over to the living room in an attempt to charge the phone. She clings to the walls to hide herself from the windows and notices several Israeli soldiers outside the house
Late in the evening, Liki decides to return home so as not to be alone at night. She identifies several Israeli soldiers through a window and asks them to accompany her. The soldiers escort her and ask her to wait outside while they check that there are no terrorists in the house. The soldiers try to call her mother and her sisters to open the door to the safe room, but Sharon, Shai-Li, and Gili refuse. After a brief struggle, they despair, let go of the handle, and discover, to their surprise, the soldiers along with Liki.
At the end of a long night, when they hear fierce fighting in the kibbutz, Sharon decides to open the safe room window to smoke. Soon after, Sharon and Liki leave the safe room. They make coffee and smoke in the foyer. Shai-Li and Gilly get angry.
As the fighting continues and the anxiety over Shachar's destiny grows, Sharon and Liki decide to go outside to smoke again. They spot IDF soldiers and ask them to accompany them away. The surprised soldiers tell them: “We were sure you were dead.” They ask them to wait a little longer until they can rescue them.
In the first rescue attempt, the soldiers encounter gunfire from terrorists and return the women to the house. A short time later, they join two more families and manage to get them out of the kibbutz. The soldiers put them on a bus that takes them to the gas station at the entrance to the kibbutz, where they charge their phones and contact the family and friends who were sure they had been murdered
Sharon, Liki, Shi-Li and Gilly are evacuated to the hotel in Shefayim
A day after the evacuation, the women of the family are informed of the death of father, Shachar
