Bar Kislev (29) is one of the few survivors from the "young generation" neighborhood. His safe room window looks towards the kibbutz fence and through it he saw the infiltration of the terrorists and his friends being kidnapped one by one. His life was saved thanks to the terrorists' shooting at the handle of the safe room that locked the door.

Bar wakes up from the rocket salvo, and since the safe room is his bedroom, he goes back to sleep.
The dog Kai wakes up Bar to go for a morning walk. Bar walks out of the room, gets organized, brushes his teeth and just before heading off for a walk he looks at the phone and sees dozens of missed calls and reports of terrorist infiltration and attacks on the kibbutz. Suddenly, Bar hears the sound of friction of iron from the kibbutz fence near his window.
Bar hears the noise of iron and goes to the window of the safe room that looks directly onto the back gated at the kibbutz fence. He sees five vans and about 15 motorcycles loaded with terrorists alongside crowds of civilians - adults alongside children about 10 years old. The crowd is shouting and making a lot of noise and everyone is gathering around the rear kibbutz gate until the terrorists break it down. About 60 terrorists gather in the small grove in front of Bar's window, and they all have weapons in their hands: guns, grenades, RPG missiles, knives as well as hoes and farm equipment.
Bar watches the terrorists through the downward-facing shutters so they do not notice him. He sees the children open their backpacks and walk around among the adults who take weapons from them: explosives, cartridges, grenades, and more. One of the terrorists reads a call in Arabic and immediately after it everyone runs towards the “young generation” neighborhood screaming and breaking into houses one by one.

Bar hears screams from the neighbors' apartments and recognizes the voices of his friends: “Don't shoot me, I don't have a weapon!“. He hears heavy and incessant gunfire, explosions of grenades and smells the smoke of the burning houses. Bar hears the screams of a girl that terrorists shout at her in Arabic. From the window of the safe room, he notices two terrorists holding the woman by the arm and neck and dragging her to Gaza accompanied by six other terrorists.
Bar hears gunfire inside his house and a moment later the terrorists struggle with him over the door handle of the safe room. They fire about five bullets towards the handle and miss his hand by a few centimeters. Kai, Bar's dog, makes a loud wailing sound and immediately afterwards the terrorists stop shooting. The terrorists stay in his house for about three hours as they continue their rampage of destruction, killings and kidnappings in the entire neighborhood. From the safe room window, Bar counts his friends who are kidnapped one by one.
Bar hears voices in Hebrew, he goes to the window and sees two soldiers. They scan several apartments, kill a number of terrorists and go over to talk to Bar under the window. Bar tells Officer Or Yosef Ran: “You have blood on your neck,” while the officer's vest is full of blood and his neck has a gunshot wound. A police vehicle emerges and the two soldiers run to it and walk alongside it in slow movement as the vehicle shields them and they prepare for gunfire. Moments later, Bar hears the sound of gunfire and sees Captain Or Yosef shot and killed. The soldiers quickly evacuate him to the vehicle and they drive away.
Bar hears the noise of a military jeep in the grove outside his house. He goes to the window and a moment later the jeep and its occupants are bombed, apparently from an RPG. The blast makes Bar fly backwards and completely opens the safe room window. The jeep is on fire for about six hours.
After a few hours of relative quiet, Bar decides to exit the safe room to fetch water for the dog, but he discovers that the door is completely locked because of the terrorists' gunfire. He decides to go out the window: he checks that the space is clear and begins to climb out when suddenly he hears a loud noise from the bushes and quickly runs back to the safe room. Bar is sure the terrorists had seen him and he realizes these are his last moments. The terrorists head towards the safe room window of Bar, light a cigarette, talk and laugh. Soon after, they leave the spot.
Bar hears the sounds of footsteps on the roof of his house and then hears loud gunshots. In the minutes that pass, he hears sniping sounds, after which water from the air conditioner begins to flow into the room. In retrospect, he will find out that three terrorists set up for sniping on his roof and were eliminated by Israeli snipers.
The IDF force enters Bar's house while firing, he hears them shouting commands in Hebrew and trying to open the safe room door. He shouts that the handle is stuck, but the soldiers do not hear him through the door. He goes to the window and addresses the soldiers surrounding the house: “What's going on?“, and they panic and scream “Terrorist!“ And point the weapon at him. He shouts back “I'm not a terrorist!“ and raises his hands. At the sight of the dog Kai walking to the window, the soldiers ask if it is his dog and he replies: “Yes, I live here.” Only at this moment do the soldiers realize that Bar is not a terrorist. They rescue him in the protected vehicle to the gas station at the entrance to the kibbutz.
Bar evacuates with the other survivors from the kibbutz to Kibbutz Mishmar HaNegev and from there travels to Modi'in to his parents' house for a few weeks.
